The wings are folded

The wings are folded —
There is no more sky.
All that we had
Now seems more like a lie.
Youth and childhood are leaving,
No one returns from that shore.
Only we remain,
We simply have nowhere to go anymore...

We trust no one now,
Not even ourselves.
No step back allowed,
Just time moving ahead.
But a hope for a chance
That someone might still be waiting for us.
And if the stars are burning bright,
Then we won't lose our way.
And all that was — was not in vain,
But something awaits us, out there, someday...

You don't laugh anymore,
You don't even cry,
But just as before,
You blindly believe in luck's try.
And one day, it will smile at you,
But just for a fleeting moment.
And you'll wake up in the morning again —
Shattered by the hangover's torment.

You get up and you go,
To where you don't want to go.
Neither heat, nor snow, nor rain,
Will change this path, you know.
You live on what has been,
You dream of what might be.
Hope gives you the strength
To believe in fate and in destiny.

And you don't laugh anymore,
But you don't cry either.
Just the same,
You blindly believe in luck...
