Life on Credit

I haven't lost my mind just yet,
How very strange it is, you see.
There are still things to do, I bet,
But who the hell needs all of this from me?
The airwaves scream, a strained, loud sound:
We have to save this World, he's duty-bound.

My whole life is on credit, it's true,
But when did I manage to take a loan?
To whom, for what — I can't recall, can you?
The only thing that matters is the verdict alone:
I am the cause of all the troubles around,
And I must save this world, without a sound.

Childhood gave us happiness, so bright,
Each one of our days was full of light.
Now — only grey, bad weather's endless fight,
A prison of unbearable duties, day and night.
Year after year, our Happiness takes flight,
Along with the chain of our days, out of sight.

I haven't lost my mind just yet,
How very strange it is, you see.
There are still things to do, I bet,
But who the hell needs all of this from me?
The airwaves scream, a strained, loud sound:
We have to save this World, he's duty-bound.
