Nara-Narayana
Time externally dissolves our outer body into five elements, successively from solid to fluid, from fluid to light. And through our virtuous, unvirtuous, and selfless deeds, these five elements re-form into a body, passing from a state of light to a fluid, and from fluid to a solid state. Just as a person walking, after placing one foot on the ground, lifts the other, so our subtle body of conceit, consisting of the mind, intellect, and imaginary "I," through the actions of body, speech, and mind, does not leave the outer body until it forms the body of tendencies. By the time the subtle body leaves the outer body, like discarding old clothing, the particle of consciousness already has at its disposal the next body, like a new garment, fashioned from our actions of body, speech, and mind. With unwholesome deeds, we pave the way for future limitations of perception, and consequently, for greater suffering, but the person who neither harms nor wishes harm to their neighbor will not have to flee from enemies in either this or the next life. Love makes us boundless, transcending the boundaries of convention and contradiction. Of this there is no doubt!
