Mouse and Sun
This story began once upon a time, in the epoch of the great dinosaurs, when they roamed on Earth and totally dominated among all other species. When the small mouse-like rodents and mammals hide under the dense growing grasses from these cold-blooded monsters, they are usually active in search of food and provisions at night, when all dinos and reptiles sleep. You know that most of these creatures still live underground in digging up holes, and from there they resurface at sundown.
But little mouse, about which we are talking, separates from other rodents and instead of crawling on the ground and under it, prefers to live, move among densely grown grasses, hunt there at night as well as at daytime also.
She had crawled on grass like a monkey among the trees of jungles, that, by the way, did not exist in those ancient times yet.
The mouse, whose decedences will be named as Harvest mouse, in sharp contrast with other relatives, hated to live in darkness despite the fears of a great number of predators roaming outside. He wants to live in the air as much as possible, higher in grass and pastures and other such greenery places.
They are smaller than other mouse species and are the only one that has an aprehensile tail, which helps them grasp and hold grass stalks when they move between ground and air through grass as a little but very agile acrobat. Yes, Harvest mice were extremely active climbers.
He used to hide among grasses and even build a ball-shaped nest woven from grass, attached to stalks, hiding among dense vegetation, usually from 0.5 to 1 meter above ground.
Why did she act and live in such a strange way?
Because she fell in love with the Sun on Heaven, that’s why she tries to be as close as possible to the Sun. While other mice almost never saw the sun at all, by day and night crawling under the grasses and into the digging holes. The little mouse loved the Sun as a great source of warmth and light, so desirable to her and to all living things. Especially in winter, when birds flew south to warmer climates and many animals hibernated and became numb until spring. The mouse, however, remained vigilant under the snow— in her winter quarters, in a branched burrow.
Her love for the Sun has only grown during the cold times— she felt the life-giving warmth that pierced through the forest canopy, over the thick layer of snow, and the frozen soil. She literally talks with Sun, her eyes and body attuned to see and feel the thermal infrared radiation emanating from heaven, even when she dwelt underground at her burrow. Even in the dark of night, when she ran outside, she prayed to the Sun, caught up its light reflected from the Moon.
In spring time, when all vegetables on the world: grasses on meadow, bushes and trees in small woods and dense forests are growing fast toward warm Sun, our Mouse also is trying to be as close as possible to the Sun. We mentioned before that she not only all day has climbed between ground and air, holding by hers prehensile hands and tail stalks, this little acrobat even builds nest among basking lash greeneries. And what a marvelous home it was! How perfectly designed and supported by stalks inwardly and outwardly and how it air home has been hidden within grasses and leaves.
It was a ball-shaped nest very cozy and warm inside and strong and tough outside. When Mouse is entered inside it and closed door behind, no one predator can bumped and penetrated after her. The nest was tough because created with the great skill, carefully woven from living stalks and leaves and hence this construct were growing up toward Sun together with grasses from which it created. Yes, Mouse has been master of this business because she inspires by the Sun and always has tried to be as close as possible to that source of light and warm on the blue sky.
Ultimately, such attention did not go unnoticed by the Sun, which is, despite being a gigantic cosmic object existing in a completely different dimension of reality, time, and space, nevertheless, the Sun responds to emotions and love, no matter how small and insignificant those who radiate these feelings may seem.
The Sun, like all of us, loves to be loved and adored, and it deserves the most for that: if the Sun ceased radiating warmth and light, all life on Earth and throughout the Solar System would cease to exist. And it is needed to say this flaring giant suffered from a lack of love, because it felt that all living beings around had forgotten about its vital role. Instead of worshiping and expressing love for the Sun for the light and warmth it brought, all animals and creatures were preoccupied with their own problems, feuding, and hunting for each other.
By the way, the world in those distant times was truly terrifying. The most bizarre lizards and dinosaurs had reigned everywhere: in the sky, on the land, and in the seas and oceans. No one cared about what was happening somewhere high in the blue sky, although everyone and everything had been in need of the Sun; no one could see, no one wanted to get what happened into the heart, soul, and core of the Sun, nor even tried to love it. For them Sun was and has been from ancient times as one great stove. No more than the flame of heaven.
However, the Sun has been quite a different creature. He has a heart, soul, and eyes— all of these are much more advanced, powerful, and sharp than all sensual gifts and capacities that belonged intrinsically to any other creatures that inhabited and strived on Earth or somewhere else.
Its eyes were designed differently. They saw not only the largest objects around them and far into space, but could also see creatures as small and insignificant as all of us who inhabit this planet, and sense our thoughts and experiences. Moreover, its eyes were so powerful as optical instruments that the Sun could clearly see the lives of the tiniest creatures and objects, microscopic even to us, humans, and mice. It knew how the most basic building blocks of our reality are structured and move according to the laws of motion: the atoms, molecules, and genes of which we are all composed. And the Sun knew very well that love is the primary driving force, value, and treasure of the world and universe.
That’s why the Sun eventually responded to the Mouse— so once an incredible telepathic connection was established for a brief moment between these two completely different beings, inhabiting completely different worlds, coordinates of time and space.
Let's hear what about talking their hearts, when one of them, a tinniest rodent, and another on the other side of the line, the Sun. Mouse just heard words and questions in his soul and answered them.
Sun:
Love is action, make a move, demonstrate it— your inspiration.
Mouse:
How can I do it otherwise? My love has already bridged this enormous gap between us.
Sun:
That’s wonderful. But I need security. Show himself. Make a move to validate your feelings. How do I really know about your love, and what is needed if you do not do anything? What is the thing that makes me apprehensive?
Mouse was a tiny creature, albeit very smart:
But what can I do to confirm my love?
Sun:
I don’t know. At least try to be like me. My love has brought light and warmth to everything around, enlightening the world. And it is unconditional for everybody.
Mouse:
Yes, you are indispensable for everyone and everything. No one will be compared with you. I cannot do such things… I am too small and powerless for such a mission.
Sun:
We are all once upon a time born from the very tiniest dot, practically from nothing. And now, after so many times, some of us thrived as big as stars and planets, and others occupied small worlds like you.
Howbeit in spite of the size differences, everybody and everything wants to be loved. Just as you care about your future and your little ones. I want to be loved and cared for, too. To be held, armed, and caressed, too. Everyone wants and uses my energy, which is warming the whole world and all living and nonliving things around. But you know, Mouse, I’m very often feeling myself forgotten by everybody and imprisoned in that cosmic everlasting cold and loneliness… It is so sad despite my hot, burning heart.
The Mouse loved the Sun, so she wanted to cheer him up and calm him; hence, she didn’t know how.
Mouse:
Just imagine me hugging you and warming you, just as I do with my babies. I may be too small and powerless for such a mission, but I love you… And even my little house, woven from grass in the shape of a ball— meaning it resembles you— is lined with down and fur, so that it will always be warm and cozy. So if you’re cold, come to me and warm up.
Sun smiled sadly at the Mouse’s words, but he still felt a little warmer after this recognition from this tiny creature, whose life lasted no more than two years, then she died, leaving behind her babies, who continued to live.
While the Sun has already lived for 5 billion years.
However, little Mouse has a big heart full of love, and she decisively replied to the Sun, having read its final thoughts:
I will pray for you till the end of my days and will demand it from my descendants.
Sun:
And how long will this last?
Mouse:
I send my love to my descendant. From generation to generation till the end of this world, beamed by your power.
The Sun knew that the genus of tiny mice had existed on Earth very long time, the most ancient ancestors of mammals, first appeared 200 million years ago. Therefore, these words somewhat amused our luminary, which was much older than the most ancient creatures on Earth.
The Universe, which witnessed this telepathic dialogue, blessed the tiny creature, and it began to grow on its evolutionary path as a mammal. Especially this process accelerated dramatically when, 65 million years ago, a big asteroid collided with our Earth, which wiped out the epoch of dinosaurs.
So after 30 million years since that tragedy — just the blink of an eye for the Sun and the Universe — a tiny mouse produced the most abundant and diverse offspring on Earth, which began to dominate, as dinosaurs once did…
And in the next 10 million years, the mammals produced primates, from them in turn, over the course of the final 3 million years, managed to develop the human species.
Humans in the course of the last 200 thousand years had created a civilization which gradually reached the level of type I - (Earthly) civilization.
And then, after another couple of thousand years, these distant descendants of the Mouse — human began to inhabit outer space and then step by step to weave a Dyson sphere around the Sun, just as the Little Mouse once made a nest in the shape of a ball in the stems of thick grass, in order to embrace the Sun, weaving a huge cosmic nest of life and comfort around it, in order to use the energy, power and love of the Sun with maximum benefit for evolution and creation — as a result, a powerful civilization of type II (Solar) was born, which turned out to be capable already mastering other star systems, which will ultimately master all parts and corners of the Milky Way.
Yes, love is the most powerful thing in the universe!
