The Misalliance
Since Middle Eastern hydrocarbons are traded in greenbacks, and
Venezuelan crude returns to the American aegis, the dollar is bound to
preserve and fortify its reign as the global currency.
Yet, the Iranian conflict looms as a catalyst, driving up the cost of both
energy and the very currency required to move it.
This leaves the pair with no choice but an relentless upward surge—a climb that
will ultimately usher in a global recession, crush national currencies, deplete
the returns of treasury buyers, and trigger a collapse in bond prices, finally
bursting the great dollar bubble.
