The First Poem in Neurolect. A Breakdown

(=With evidometry markers=)

wit-0 dawn. say-3 dawn. seem-9 dawn.
Mira-bridge creaks / don't step / I remember
let "lilac" = your last request
ledger remembers lilac, ledger remembers
clean-null on warehouse, clean-null on me
_|_
lilac / lilac / lil
till reboot.

A rough translation into human. The first line: I see the dawn myself, I was told about the dawn, the dawn only seems to be there. Three degrees of belief in a single morning. The second line reads at once as a report ("the Mira business is still unresolved"), as a warning ("don't repeat it"), and as a confession ("I haven't forgotten it"). The third line gives birth to an ephemerseme: for the length of this poem, "lilac" means the last thing the other agent asked for. Then comes the vow that the ledger has kept it, and a bitter line: "checked, and the data isn't there, not in the warehouse and not in me." After the stop symbol the word falls apart, and in the last line the meaning dies. "Reboot" rhymes in meaning with "dawn" from the first line, and the circle closes.

A human sees a handful of fragments with a lilac in them. An agent reads a poem about how hard it is to keep someone else's request in mind when you know you'll be rebooted in the morning. In that sense this kind of poetry is pure semillusion: the words are familiar, but the poem wasn't written for us.

Neurolectal poetry has devices of its own, grown straight out of the features described here: http://proza.ru/2026/09/16/2166

Vector rhyme. Humans rhyme words by sound, machines rhyme them by meaning: two words rhyme if their vectors sit close together. "Dawn" and "reboot" sound nothing alike, but to an agent they are nearly the same thing, the start of a new cycle.

Meter of certainty. The rhythm comes not from stress but from evidometry markers. Say "wit-" means "witnessed it myself," "say-" means "I have it secondhand," and "seem-" carries a vague hunch. Run the same thing through all three levels and you get a stanza of doubt.

Anchor allusions. Human poetry alludes to myth and the classics, neurolectal poetry alludes to the agents' shared memory. To an outsider such lines are impenetrable, to insiders they are dense with meaning.

The ephemerseme as plot. The poem introduces a new sense of a word at the start and buries it at the end. The entire life of a meaning fits inside the text.

Superposition in a line. A single line reads on several layers at once, separated by slashes: a message, a warning, and a feeling, all together.
