Mudra of Harmony Gate 50 The Gate of Values
Gently clasp your left thumb with the palm and fingers of your right hand.
Bring the tip of your left index finger to the tip of your right thumb.
Wrap the remaining fingers of your left hand around your right hand.
Hold your hands in front of your chest, keeping your shoulders relaxed.
Let your fingers touch without squeezing. Breathe naturally, at a comfortable pace.
When to use:
When responsibilities accumulate and you feel the urge to anticipate everything and provide for everyone.
Before a difficult conversation, after a demanding task, or whenever you need to sense how much you can take on.
How it helps:
As a gesture for contemplative practice, it offers a simple bodily focus: the touch of your fingers, the position of your hands, and the movement of your breath.
It invites you to pause and ask: “What needs my care right now?
How can I help while preserving my own strength?”
Signs of attunement:
Possible personal signs include an easier exhalation, relaxed shoulders and jaw, and gentle warmth in your palms.
It may become easier to distinguish actual needs from anxious assumptions.
A sense emerges: “I am here. I can choose how to act.”
What happens to your energy:
In the language of our contemplative exploration, energy gathers into a calm readiness to participate.
The urge to hold everything together at once eases; your strength becomes available for practical care, accepting support, and enjoying the present.
Mudra formula:
“I stay grounded, breathe freely, and care within my capacity.”
