The Night Rejoices

This night is alive with delight,
A distant call echoes through the night...
Veiled in a delicate shawl,
Love's power is sweeping us all...

Veiled in a delicate shawl,
I hasten to answer your call.
Together, in bliss, we would stay,
For now you are mine, come what may.

Together, we revelled in song,
Through winter nights, tender and long...
Our candles were burning away,
Yet more light was needed to stay.

Not enough to let happiness shine,
Or leave all our sorrows behind.
Those moments of sorrow and pain
Still lingered, like tears in the rain.

We stood where the heavens divide,
At a crossroads, with nowhere to hide...
We called through the silence above,
To awaken the flame of our love.

The flame of our sweet, aching pain,
That nothing could ever contain...
We left all our sorrows behind,
For love was the only thing on our mind.

Those moments of reckoning passed,
Like snowflakes that melt as they fall.
The call was answered at last –
And love has united us all.

Forever, together, entwined,
Two souls, by eternity bound...
